Weekend Review

Hello Deep Blue Questers!

We have just returned from Korea’s beautiful East coast after a truly amazing three day tour.  This tour was not a teaching tour, rather a weekend for us to do what we love doing…DIVING!  We did use this time for intern development and give a chance for Chuck the intern to become acquainted with some of his new dive gear.  Russ learned how to drive Aqua Gallery’s boat, as well as how to operate their compressor system.  What a great vacation.

As for some upcoming items,

1)     Deep Blue Quest will be at Dwight International school this Saturday to discuss PADI diving with their students and parents

2)     Deep Blue Quest will be holding an Open Water course this Sunday in Paju.

3)     In honor of this past Teacher’s Day, we would like to extend a 50,000 won discount to all YBM teachers

This coming weekend we will be doing a three day dive trip to celebrate Buddha’s birthday!  Let us know if you are interested!

A Word from Ken the Intern

As interest in Deep Blue Quest’s internship program is starting to increase, I thought it would be good to mention a little bit about what the internship has been like for me for me.

I started the internship about two months ago as an Advanced Open Water Diver.  Since then, I have obtained my Rescue Diver certification and several specialties.  However, the value I see in the internship has not just been in the courses that I have taken.  The real value has been the experience of working at a busy dive shop.   I have learned about interacting and helping students, learning how to maintain gear, and most importantly, ensuring the safety of all of our participants.

Russ, the lead instructor, has high standards.  There is no doubt about that.  But I can see that his high standards are making me a better diver, and hopefully an amazing instructor.

If you are interested in the internship, please contact Russ at:
